Deciding on a Christmas kitchen theme is always such fun. However, as I get older, I’m finding decision making is more of a chore. So this year, I refused to make one. My kitchen is simply a combination of everything I love.
Gingerbread This, Peppermint That
I’m a big believer in using what you have when decorating for the holidays. A pretty red bowl can become a great decoration with a bit of greenery and a little imagination.
Likewise, adding greenery to a Christmas pitcher is a gorgeous way to use something that may sit idle until Christmas dinner.
Even a teapot can be used for a festive decoration!
Santa, Snowmen, and a Little Bit of Sparkle
Snowmen will always be a favorite part of winter for me. In fact, there was a time that I had quite the collection. With our move last year, I forced myself to part with several. Still, I kept some small favorites and used them in a few displays here and there.
In keeping with my “everything I love” theme, I needed to make sure that Santa was well represented in my kitchen too. The cutest Santa crock holds my utensils and he also provides a bit of sparkle for the holiday in my favorite water lantern.
Christmas Cocoa Station
It’s my house so of course there had to be a Christmas makeover for the coffee/cocoa bar.
Tiered trays are perfect to concentrate all you’ll need for a quick cup of Christmas cheer.
I used my Mistletoe Mug printable here as well as the cocoa bar labels from a few years ago. They are available to all subscribers in the library. Of course we needed Mrs. Claus’s Hot Chocolate Recipe from the library as well.
Can you ever have too many tiered trays at Christmas?? I think not!
Oh Christmas Tree
There are several little trees in the kitchen. The newest one is the peppermint tree I made this year. The instructions can be found here.
A few fir trees found spots on the coffee bar and above the cabinets as well.
A tree shaped tray is perfect on the counter for a decoration but handy for cookies or holiday treats.
I added a few wreaths to the cabinets and we’re good!
Turn on the Christmas music! The kitchen is ready for some holiday baking!
