The fall season is in full swing and I am celebrating its arrival with decorative touches in just about every room of the house. Today I’m sharing how autumn came to life in the kitchen of our home.
My decorating journey here in Arizona continues with a fall refresh to the kitchen. It’s a bit challenging since I no longer have the counter space I enjoyed for years. While that took a minute to get used to, I’m finding I’m much more organized these days. Therefore, my quest to find the will to part with so many favorites gets easier every day.
It’s time. I’ve been holding onto impulse buys that didn’t necessarily work when I brought them home. Still, I was convinced that they would grow on me or I would find the perfect spot eventually. That spot never materialized so this year, I finally let them go. I’m amazed at how good that actually feels! I love the look of the kitchen that now has a great fall vibe without all the clutter. Take a peek!
Gather Round the Table
The kitchen table has always been a favorite spot for me. Although quite small, it’s the perfect coffee spot, a cozy conversation nook, and occasionally a place for an intimate dinner. The centerpiece here will change quite often during this season. At the moment, it’s a pitcher full of pretty fall branches.
Mushroom Madness
Decorative fall mushrooms have been around for years but this year they are everywhere. While I did not want to take a box to Goodwill and replace it with more “stuff,” I did buy a few little mushrooms to spread around the kitchen.
Subscribers: I also created a few mushroom prints that you will find in the Printable Library if mushrooms are on your list this year!
They look so cute in a pretty frame!
Even my favorite squirrel embraced my mushroom madness!
Leaves, Berries, Pumpkins, & Gourds
The mushrooms are cute no doubt, but I still love the basics! There was just enough room on the counters for a small vase of pretty autumn leaves.
My berry wreath found a home atop the cabinets along with a few of my favorite bowls and trays.
I filled my produce baskets with pumpkins and gourds that I just couldn’t part with yet. Believe it or not… so many more went for donation then you see here. It’s a sickness really!
A little pumpkin sign was pulled from the box at the very last minute too. It looks so cute in the bread basket!
I also decided long ago that there would always be room for fresh blooms!
Fall flowers are just the prettiest!
Fall Coffee Bar Redo
Having a seasonal coffee bar is one of my favorite things. I loved the lemon theme but it was definitely time to move on!
I replaced the wreath with a harvest sign and brought the shelf into season.
I left the tiered tray in place but gave it a fresh fall look.
A few other changes to the lamp and the coffee cups and I’m happy with my fall coffee bar redo!
Although fall in Arizona is not what we’re used to, I am determined to make the most of the season. We will be taking day trips up north to see the changing leaves and enjoy some cooler weather.
I have no doubt that we will have plenty of company here once the snow starts falling in Colorado. I will be so happy to welcome them to our cozy autumn home!
Perhaps with candles and cookies!!!
Come one, come all!

See you soon!
We are in the process of downsizing. What a job to let go of all the things you have collected over the years. I have just begun the process. Hope to be moved by December. Hope you get some cooler temps pretty soon
Hi Claudia!I know exactly what you’re going through.Letting go is such a hard process! Be kind to yourself though and realize it is exactly that.. a process. There are just some things that aren’t worth the stress. If you can’t part with it today, don’t beat yourself up! Take it with you and you may be ready to part with it somewhere down the road. Good luck and best wishes in your new home!
That floral arrangement on the table is outstanding! I just l love the way the colors pop. I also love that framed print in your tray. What a unique touch…and I have also recently let go of a few things that just didn’t work out. I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. It does feel good!
Thank you Kim! It’s always hard but once it’s gone.. it’s almost a relief! Happy fall to you!
