Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting

A few years ago when we had our food cart, these cupcakes were in high demand during the fall and winter seasons. I started using the giant muffin cups since we were charging for them and I wanted to give everyone their money’s worth. I still tend to use those to this day for my family. They are sometimes quite hard to find so I’ve included a link below for the cups as well as the tins.

  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 Teaspoons of Vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1

Mix softened cream cheese, butter, and vanilla in a mixing bowl.

2

Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.

Gradually add powdered sugar and beat 8 to 10 minutes.

I have used these cupcakes for gifts many times over the years. I am not a cake decorator by any means but I do like to pipe on the frosting when I’m sharing them with others. This cream cheese frosting is the perfect consistency for piping. Since I am far from a pro at that, I found a simple little piping pen that works wonders. Adding sprinkles and placing them in an individual box is perfect for gift giving.

    1. Thanks Lisa! It is such an easy recipe. I usually make them and quickly put together gift boxes for friends and neighbors. If I don’t get them out of here fast, I tend to eat more than my fair share!
