Ok! So Amazon is not going to bring you a puppy. But they can bring you just about anything else you can think of! Prime Day is almost here and if you follow my 3-step Prime Day Shopping Guide, well, let’s just say… fun will be had by all!
With the Fourth of July holiday behind us, I’m looking forward to another favorite day of mine. Prime Day 2022 is coming… JULY 12 AND 13!
Although not officially a holiday, I am wondering for the umpteenth time… why isn’t it? It’s fun, it’s annual, and it is, without argument, a day that makes the remaining holidays of the year a little better.
Home decor for the holidays ahead, gifts for family and friends, and of course food and essentials from Whole Foods. All with discounts to make the holidays merrier!

Step 1 – Get Your Amazon Prime Membership
It all starts with a Prime membership. Do you have yours?? The link below will let you try Prime free for 30 days complete with all the benefits!
If you already have your membership, now is the perfect time to gift one to someone else! (There are also discounts for your college student or for those on government assistance programs as well.)
A Prime membership is 14.99 a month or $139.00 per year. For me, it more than pays for itself with free shipping and movies. Once your free trial is up, you will be charged the annual fee. So… if for some reason you want to cancel (although I can’t imagine that) be sure to do it before your trial is up.
What drew me to Prime all those years ago was, of course, the free shipping. I love being able to order today and have it at my door so quickly. Even the same day in some cases. More importantly, I can have a gift shipped directly to a friend without ever leaving the house or paying exorbitant shipping fees.
Prime Video is another big perk. Having access to so many titles is something I take advantage of every single day. I can even subscribe to some premium cable channels through Prime without having cable installed in my home.
Amazon Music includes over 2 million songs free to Prime members. You can upgrade to Prime Music Unlimited for access to over 9 million. I love listening to podcasts when I’m running errands and there is such a great selection here!
Prime Reading gives members unlimited access to a rotating catalog of ebooks and audio books at no additional cost.
Prime ReadingHowever, if you are an avid reader and a Kindle user you might want to give the subscription service, Kindle Unlimited, a try.
Prime Try Before You Buy is my latest obsession. I can chose up to 6 outfits to try in my own home and only pay for the ones I keep. Returns are so easy too! You can even hire a personal shopper if you choose to.
Whole Foods Discounts Although I don’t have a Whole Foods close enough to justify my weekly shopping, it is my holiday savior. With vegans and vegetarians in my family, it’s my favorite place for holiday meals. Since I’m not willing to learn to cook all over again, I can purchase complete vegan dinners there! You can scan items in store for even more member discounts! Check out the benefits below.
Prime Benefits at Whole FoodsStep 2 – Check Todays Deals Often

Step 3 – Shop Till You Drop!
If you need an explanation on this step… I’m sorry and we can’t be friends!!!
What’s in My Cart Today – July 10
When it comes to shopping for Prime Day, it’s best to have a plan. Early deals have already started. It’s always such fun to see items you’ve looked at so many times but could never justify buying… until now. That’s always my starting point. So… today I’m doing some home decor shopping (What a surprise!).
And of course I’m also thinking Fall is right around the corner!
What’s in My Cart Today – July 11
I decided I would do a bit of Christmas shopping today. Today I’m buying small appliances that I know my kids will love. Since they both have jobs that allow them to work from home, they cook a lot more than I did at their age. I’ve had several of these small appliances on my watchlist just waiting for Prime Day!
Of course I can’t stay away from the home decor items I found on sale today either! Creative Co-op is one of my favorite Amazon Stores and these deals are amazing!
What’s in My Cart – July 12
Ready, Set, Go! Today I am concentrating on some of the electronics we need for the house. In addition, I’ll be buying some larger gifts that I will have shipped directly to friends and family. So easy!
What’s in My Cart – July 13
Today is a wrap up of sorts. Some Christmas gifts, more home decor, and more great deals!
I shouldn’t have looked at clothes! But they are just so cute!
