PRIME Day!!!!!
Amazon Prime Day
As an Amazon Affiliate, Prime Day is a big deal. As a consumer, Prime Day is an absolute must do. Before I tell you all the reasons why…Amazon tells me I should explain what Prime Day is. I know, I know! Who doesn’t know what Prime Day is?
So to keep Amazon happy…Prime Day is the online version of Black Friday without the 300am alarm clock and without the crowds. It is the time of year when Amazon and all of it’s stores offer their very best sale prices. It’s the ultimate “get a head start on your Christmas shopping” day.
In case you’re still confused about Prime Day let me just add to that confusion right now. Prime Day is not a 24 hour period as the name suggests. Prime Day this year is October 13th and 14th with some deals having already started this week. I would have called it Prime Days but they didn’t ask me!
The most important thing to know about Prime Day is that you can only take advantage of the most amazing prices if you are an Amazon Prime Member. But I have you covered on that. The button below will give you a 30-day free membership and there is not a better time to give it a try.
Also keep in mind that the early bird does get the worm! Things do sell out on Prime Day just like they do at the Black Friday sales.
Black Friday Remembered
I was always a Black Friday shopper. My friends and I would make a day of it. Get up early, meet for breakfast, and then hit the stores running. We would take a short break for lunch and keep on going until we secured most, if not all, of the items on our list. We would end the day with a glass of wine and pat each other on the backs for all the great deals we took advantage of.
Aah, the good old days! They are great memories but I honestly can’t think of any thing worse right now. I no longer have the will to get up at 300am nor the stamina to stand in lines for hours all day.
Prime Day Parties
Not willing to give up the treasured girlfriend time, the last several years I hosted a Prime Day party. We would get together at my house, computers, kids and grandkids in tow, and have just as much fun without fighting the crowds. We did however, keep one tradition from the Black Friday days. We kept the glass of wine! That was a must!
Due to social distancing this year, we are still discussing how best to celebrate Prime Day this year. We will all be participating but the get together will most likely be a zoom call at the end of the day.
30-day Free Prime Membership
I signed up for my free 30 day trial a little over 7 years ago. At the end of my trial, I stayed. I have never been more grateful to have it then in this past year. I understand all the press and politics that surround Amazon. My decision to stay as well as promote is purely because of my experiences as a consumer.
This past year, with the quarantines and closures, I have found my prime membership invaluable. It has allowed me to order things online that I couldn’t find locally. In addition, it allowed me to stay home and safe for the most part. It has also allowed me to order things from my home in Colorado and have it delivered to my daughter in San Diego right from my computer. This is worth everything to me!
I believe in supporting my local businesses and I do so every chance I get. But I also understand that so many small businesses today would not survive without the Amazon platform.
So…with that said, if you would like to have your own 30-day free trial, now is definitely the time. Not only will it open up so many new avenues to travel on your way to the holidays, but it will allow you to take advantage of the monstrous savings offered on Prime Day.
