Summer!  It’s almost here!  Summer to me means it won’t be long before I’m walking on a beach somewhere, out on a boat, picnicking by the harbor, or hopefully all of the above! I know I will be seeing the ocean that I love very soon!

I am completely over spring this year! Cold, wet, and incredibly windy are the adjectives that spring to mind. Still, more and more my home has taken on a summery look.  A little here, a little there… I refuse to sit and wait for a spring that just won’t appear.  So with that in mind I decided to continue with my quest for the warmth that will finally come with summer. Although decorating will not change the temperature, it will do wonders for the warmth of my mood! So today I thought I’d show you how to style a coastal sofa table for summer.  I’m ready!

Printable Art is such a fun and inexpensive way to welcome in the new season. Summer! I am so anxious for its arrival! So far, spring has been much colder than normal and I am ready for some sunshine. With that in mind, I have been working on bringing touches of the upcoming season to every room in the house.  One of my favorite ways to do that is with printable art.  I have added some of last year’s favorites back into the Printable Library as well as some new ones. I’m hoping you will find something here that will help you as you welcome summer into your home too!

When I think of summer drinks, the adjectives that pop into my head are cool , fruity, and refreshing.  Lemonade, iced tea, and a pina colada spring to mind.  That being said, I wouldn’t know how to start my day without a hot cup of coffee.  Therefore, creating a Summer Coffee Bar is essential to the seasonal decor in my kitchen.  

Bee decor is everywhere these days and it is all so cute!  I couldn’t resist bringing a few things home with me so I had to find a fun way to use them.  My tiered tray is the first thing that came to mind.  I thought I’d put it together today in case you caved like I did and have a bag full of bees too!  There are certain guidelines I like to follow when putting together a tiered tray and I’ve shared them throughout this post. Keep in mind though that the only rule that really applies here is that you must bee happy with your tiered tray design.  In the end that’s all that matters!

With summer fast approaching, I have already started putting little touches of the season around the house. I tend to start decorating earlier this time of year for many reasons. First, I absolutely love the summer months. I cannot wait for the beautiful sunny days that are coming! Second, I can bring all my coastal decor to our main living spaces. And third, the creative juices really ramp up this time of year. Which brings me to this post… How to Turn a Favorite Photo into Art!

Spring is well underway although you’d never know it here in Colorado!  So much snow this year!  But today it is 76 degrees and the nice weather has me skipping spring and heading straight into summer.  Which automatically has me thinking of the beach.
