In the newsletter a few weeks ago, I asked you to share your favorite Christmas pic or decoration with us. I was so thrilled to get your pictures! Since you’ve all given me your permission to share them on the blog, this post is dedicated to your favorite things!
Twin Christmas Trees
I did share Debbie’s twin trees in the last newsletter but they deserve a second look I think! Since Debbie is a friend of ours, I’ve been able to see her lovely home a time or two and it is gorgeous all year long. But it is absolutely stunning decked out for the holidays!
Grandkids and Santa
Alice is retired and lives in South Carolina. She made her favorite decoration years ago. Since she decorates in Farmhouse Style, she put together this pretty display of her grandkids visits to Santa through the years. What a great idea!
Christmas Scene to Start the Day
Cristele is a subscriber from California. She sent in this gorgeous picture. I’m crazy about her beautiful tree! She told me she chose this photo because “Every morning when I get up and come down the stairs for breakfast, I get a glimpse of a great cozy Christmas atmosphere before continuing my day.” Cristele has a busy full-service interior design studio in sunny San Diego called Le Chateau De Pierre. She tells me that they do offer virtual design consultations so be sure to check them out.
A Christmas Lamp
Marie lives in Ohio and she sent a picture of this pretty lamp. She explains that it is her favorite because the santa inside was a gift from a very dear friend. Such a great way to keep a treasured piece safe and I love the wreath around the bottom too! So far I am loving your favorite things!
The Most Special Snowman
Dierdra, who was one of my very first international subscribers, sent in this cute picture. The snowman was made from tracing her daughter’s little foot. Such a clever idea! They are celebrating Christmas in their country home in Ireland. I would love to visit there someday! Dierdra is a stay-at-home mom and loves to do crafts for her local market.
Jingle All the Way
Ornaments are always such special gifts too! Linda from Maine sent this picture. The Jingle ornament is her favorite decoration because her daughter made it in the fourth grade. That is special!
A Christmas Train
This pretty Christmas plate was shared by Connie in Austin. She loves trains and was given these cute dessert plates from a friend. She said they were just too cute to put away in a cupboard so she put one on a stand on her counter. Great idea and super cute plate!
Pretty Christmas Tray
Kendra shared this cute picture! She said this is her favorite this year since it is new. She loves decorating with trays and this one is adorable. Kendra is a teacher and lives in Pennsylvania. She said she didn’t decorate much this year since she uses much of her home as a classroom these days. Thanks for all you do Kendra! Your favorite things are so cute!
Homemade Ornaments
These pictures came from my niece in Arizona. She decorates her tree with everything homemade. I love the reason why:
“As much as I love what my kids would call a “fancy” Christmas tree, my absolute favorite ornaments will always be handmade (by tiny hands!), my favorite ornaments often tell a story, or bring back a happy memory. They show precious reminders of tiny children’s handwriting, memories of places we’ve been. These ornaments are like tiny snippets of life caught in the form of a tree ornament. Handmade and homemade is the only way to go for our family tree. ❤️
Oh and this year we chose to make our tree super colorful and happy (given the last year 🥴) so we sprinkled rainbows and ☀️ all over our tree. It makes us smile. “
It made me smile too Kristen! Thanks for sharing!
Hometown Memories
Joanne from Virginia shared this pic of her home town. So incredibly pretty with the snowfall. Reminds me so much of my little town!
A Visit From a Smart Little Elf
This was sent to me by another of my nieces. Lisa is a busy mom of four girls. She used her elf on the shelf to remind her daughters how important being sisters really is. The sign was hung on the door leading to the family room. Her elf is truly a special one!
