Thank you to all the people who came up with the memes that brought a moment of laughter to so many during such an awful time. Those silly little memes that gave a frontline worker a tiny reprieve from the endless suffering they have witnessed. Maybe reminded someone who was alone that others were out there feeling the same things. We will be forever grateful! Here are some of my favorites:
I think everyone could relate to the ones dealing with haircuts. It seems we all took that for granted until we lost the ability to go to the beauty salon!
I still have not figured out what the toilet paper thing was all about!
When you think about how often you longed for a day at home with nothing to do! All the things you would do with that day. Surely right now we are all extremely organized right? All those pictures are in albums, you can find whatever you need in any closet in the house, and the garage is so spotless you can eat of the floor! I mean…right???
How many are now homeschooling pros? My children are grown but I’ve tried to put myself in that situation. All joking aside, I’m pretty sure I would have failed miserably. I have always had a deep appreciation for the teachers out there. So many have impacted the lives of my kids in such positive ways.
My heart breaks for all the seniors out there who missed their proms and the traditional graduation we all took for granted. It is so amazing though the way the teachers and school administrators are going above and beyond to compensate.
2020 so far really does read like a Stephen King novel! I am sure none of us are ready for the hornets now!
I hope these brought you a moment of laughter. Again, thank you to all who came up with these and shared them with the rest of us. You are truly brilliant! You can find a scaled down version of this in the library, ( just in case you want to let future generations know how we survived all this!) While most states are reopening to some degree, there is still a long way to go for so many.. We do not know what the new “normal” will really look like. Our hearts go out to all those who have lost someone! Our prayers are with all of you who are still fighting so hard every day for all of us. We will always be grateful!
