Easter Tablescapes

I have had this post planned for quite awhile. The perfect Easter tablescape is such an important part of making your holiday special. A beautiful table sets the tone for a wonderful celebration. However, given what we are all facing this year, we have no plans for a traditional Easter celebration at my house. Still, I decided to go ahead and post it anyways.

I decided to post because WE WILL ALL GET THROUGH THIS! Maybe we will have to go to church online instead of the sunrise service that is such an important part of Easter. Maybe Easter dinner will be by facetime instead of everyone gathered around the table. And maybe the Easter Bunny is just going to hang out at Grandma’s house this year because we wouldn’t want her to be alone.

Nobody really knows where we will be when Easter comes this year, but I’m making this post anyways. Because, there will be an Easter next year…and the year after….and the year after that. WE WILL ALL GET THROUGH THIS and next year, we will be ready to celebrate in style.

The Breakfast Table

A pretty breakfast table will start off the holiday right. At our house, breakfast was a special time for just the four of us. While the afternoon and evening meals would be spent with extended family, breakfast was ours and ours alone. The kitchen was and still is our gathering place. So for the morning meal, the kitchen is just perfect for us.

Pretty in pink

I love using pink in all my spring decor but especially when designing an Easter tablescape. Therefore, I will start with a few that are predominantly pink offset with some greenery for contrast. Can I just say how much I love these napkins? They are so adorable! I have included a link at the bottom of the page so you can make your very own.

Trying different centerpieces is always a big part of creating the perfect Easter tablescape. Sometimes adjusting the height or changing the focal point can make all the difference in the world.

Maximizing Your Space

Depending on the dinner you’re serving and the amount of guests, it might be necessary to keep your centerpiece simple. With six seated at the main table you have the ability to spread things out. Eight and space is at a minimum. Likewise, if you are accommodating guests who are vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free, you will need all the space you can get for extra side dishes.

Moving away from the pink but keeping with a pastel theme, I’ve used the blues, yellows, and greens that are so much a part of the Spring landscape. In addition, by using just a single silver antique bowl in the center, we’ve secured quite a bit of much needed space. After dressing up the bowl with flowers and of course, a bunny, you’ve created a compact centerpiece that is beautiful too.

Our earlier examples included a cup and saucer for coffee with dessert. I’ve removed them to maximize the space in this Easter tablescape. They can be brought back once the dinner dishes have been cleared away. Still a pretty table but with much more available space.

Bringing Bright Colors to Your Easter Tablescape

If pastels are not for you, it’s ok! Bring in the orange, the turquoise, the bright yellow. A burst of color can bring your table to life. A bucket full of bright flowers, a bunny, and a grapevine carrot are the perfect centerpiece. Add some woodsy birch candles and you’re almost done with this one.

The rosebud napkin holders will finish things off. They were a gift from a friend a few years ago and I absolutely love them. They are called Bloom Napkin Holders and can be purchased on Amazon in a set of 8 for less than $20.00. Put a folded napkin in the bloom and twist the stem until if forms a bud. It’s just that simple.

Add a Little Bit of Farmhouse Style

My last Easter tablescape takes us back to our pink but with a few farmhouse accents. Using the same pink chargers, plates, and napkins, we can add some buffalo checked bunnies for a bit of the farmhouse feel. A bucket of pink flowers, our birch candles and some bird nests give this table a more casual feel.

I hope you had fun with my Easter tablescapes! I promised you the link to learn to make the cottontail napkins. It’s a great video by Better Homes and Gardens and you can watch it by clicking here.

We are a few weeks away from Easter and none of us knows what a few weeks will bring. But one thing I do know is WE WILL ALL GET THROUGH THIS! I know that without a single doubt. So I hope you’ll pin this post to your favorite board so it will be there the next time you are designing your Easter table.

    1. Thanks Dee! That was the Easter that never really happened. We were in the middle of the lockdown then. Maybe I’ll use one of those options this year though!
