A Look Back at Your Favorite Posts of 2021

With the new year upon us, it’s always fun to take a stroll down memory lane. I invite you to come along and take another look at your favorite posts of 2021.

The fun part of blogging is being able to share some of my passions with like-minded people everyday. The not so fun part, is paying attention to the analytics that can make a blog successful or cause the same to fail. I am not a numbers person by any stretch of the imagination but I force myself to have a look this time of year. It is always helpful going forward to see what it was that you loved in the past.

I decided to look back one month at a time. Some of your favorite posts were a complete surprise to me and others are exactly what I would have chosen as a subscriber myself.

Here we go…

January

Your favorite post from January was A Valentine Vignette. I wrote it as a tribute to my parents and talk about a stroll down memory lane! I shed a lot of tears on this one but I thought it was important to write.

February

Your favorite for this month was overwhelmingly The Laundry Room That Went to the Dogs. Everyone loves their fur babies!

March

The month of March was a tough one in Colorado. A shooting at a grocery store in the city of Boulder took 10 lives and changed countless others. The post, This is Boulder, was far from my normal writings. Yet it was one I needed to write. So many cities across the country have dealt with mass shootings. Which in turn means so many of you have dealt with the aftermath. Of all the posts I wrote in March, this was the post you visited the most so I have included it here.

April

For the month of April, the post, How to Put Together a Tropical Terrarium with Fairy Flair, was the favorite. I had so much fun putting this one together. I’m glad you liked it too!

May

Mandy and Me was the favorite this month. I was thrilled since it was actually my favorite for the year. Decorating my lanterns for each season is always such fun but this one had a personal twist which made it so special to me.

June

June was full of posts preparing for the Fourth of July holiday. Your favorite was this, How to Make a Patriotic Wreath in 10 Minutes. Such a fun project for sure!

July

This month the post, How to Create a No Fuss Outdoor Fairy Garden, was your choice. I loved putting this one together and it’s always something I look forward to each year.

August

How to Find the Beauty That Surrounds Us All was #1 for the month of August. A trip to Estes Park, Colorado was the inspiration on this one. Such a beautiful place!

September

September brought another DIY post to the forefront. How to Make a Pretty Harvest Tree was this month’s favorite.

October

October’s choice was Prayers for Jenny. This made me so happy! Of all the posts I wrote, this was perhaps the most important. Jenny was one of the first subscribers to My Home of All Seasons and has since become a special friend of mine. She was in the midst of her latest fight with cancer and I wanted to help her so badly.

With her in Australia and me in Colorado, there just wasn’t a lot I could do. So, I asked you all for prayers and messages of encouragement. You came through and it meant the world to Jenny and to me. I’m happy to say that she is doing well and although she is not out of the woods, I know she’s winning! Thank you all again!

November

How to Make Faux Hot Chocolate Cups had the most hits in November. They were so much fun to make and I hope the post inspired some of you to craft a few of your own.

December

December’s favorite was another DIY. How to: Christmas Tiered Trays was the choice here. This one was part of a blog hop with several talented ladies called “Christmas on a Tray. ” I’m still reviewing the data to see how much the volume from other blogs affected this one making it to the top.

So what did I learn on this trip down memory lane? In a nutshell, it seems your favorite posts are a good mix of DIY projects and the ones full of sentiment. I’ll remember that going forward!

In addition, I’ve learned that my readers are creative in their own right. Most are also followers of my Pinterest page. They send projects of their own and recreations of mine made better with their vision.

I’ve learned that they value family and friends above all else which is why my Valentine Vignette and Mandy posts resonated with them.

But most importantly, I learned that my readers are the most kind and caring people on the planet! They felt the pain and grief of the Boulder post and they did not hesitate for a moment to offer their prayers and encouragement to Jenny. It makes perfect sense that these would be among your favorite posts this year. Just this past month, I received countless inquiries about the devastating fire that left so many homeless here in Colorado!

In Conclusion…

I feel incredibly blessed to have each and every one of you in my life! Thank you so much and I am looking forward to sharing another great year at My Home of All Seasons.

See you soon!
