Springtime in Colorado is such a beautiful time of year. The snow capped peaks against the soon to be lush green landscape always takes my breath away. It’s that amazing green that became the inspiration for my new Springtime welcome in the entryway.
I’ve always been of the opinion that your home is your very own sanctuary. As such, it should be a reflection of all the things that make you feel happy and secure every time you enter. However, the entryway within your home belongs to those special friends and family members that you have chosen to invite inside. Therefore, creating a space that says “welcome” the minute they open the door, should always be the goal.
For me, I believe that welcoming a new season to this space will extend that vibe to all who come to visit. Creating a warm and cozy feeling is my way of saying “I’m so glad you’re here!” The elements of spring makes the warm and cozy just so easy to accomplish!

Birds, Bunnies, and a Little Bit of Green
The return of the color green is something I long for all winter long. I try to add as much as possible when decorating for this season. There may be snow just outside the door but inside, the warmth of spring takes over.
Birds nests are a favorite spring sight for me and I’ve used several around the house this year.
With my balance scale being a focal point on the entryway console, I added a few here as well.
Of course, no springtime entryway is complete without a bunny or two or three!
Oh and flowers… with raindrops!
As a finishing touch to this table, I added a vintage Easter basket full of wood orbs and moss balls with a spring floral scent.
The console goes a long way towards a springtime welcome in the entryway!
But Wait! There’s More!
If you took my 2022 Spring Home Tour then you know the small hallway off the entryway is part of the overall picture. I have always considered the table there to be a part of the entry itself. So of course, it needed a spring refresh too!
I added a spring topiary and a green candle ring to the lamp there. A gingham candle finishes off the top shelf.
The bottom shelf holds a vintage looking page from Beatrix Potter’s much loved book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Of course I needed to add Peter himself!
I hung a boxwood wreath on the mirror above the table for some added green. I left the swag that was already in place above it. Like just about everything else in my home, the swag changes with the seasons. For spring it is a mix of blues, green, and white.
One more little bird for the wreath…
A little bit more greenery and the springtime welcome in the entryway is complete. Now what??? I don’t know but I’m absolutely certain, I’ll think of something!

Everything looks so pretty, as usual 🙂 I really like the candle holder with eggs inside, the birdcage, and the spring eggs picture frame. Thanks so much for linking up at the #UnlimitedLinkParty 105. Shared.
Thank you Dee! I always look forward to the party. So many great ideas there!
Ok, what happened to the spring eggs picture frame? Was it on another post? Looking for the perfect image as I’m going to feature you 🙂
Oh my gosh Dee! I am so sorry! I redid that post this morning because I decided to feature that in my mantel post next week. My bad!!! I made the lighted birdcage my focal point in a reel on Instagram for tomorrow. I’m a dummy. Sorry again!
Good to know I’m not losing my mind 🙂 as I was almost sure I had seen that image 🙂
Haha! Next time just assume it’s me who lost their mind. Nine times out of ten it really is!
Your home looks lovely all dressed in its spring best, Denise! I adore all the green, it’s become my newest obsession. It’s just so fresh. I love that gingham candle. I’ve never seen anything like it. Now I’m on the hunt for one myself!! Happy Spring!!
Thanks so much Kim! I’m obsessed with green right now too. I’m hoping the white ground outside my window changes over soon. I’m completely over winter. I bought that candle a few years ago and haven’t seen it since. I did see a similar one just this year in the Lakeside Collection catalogue though. Have a great spring!
All your Spring touches look so pretty! Even if it doesn’f feel like Spring outside, you’ve certainly created it inside! I love your tiered trays too, I need get busy! I have a Spring decoration in the foyer but not anywhere else, thank you for the inspirations!
Thank you Jenna. No, it sure doesn’t feel like spring outside yet here! I did see some high 60’s in the forecast and I’m so ready. I caught a glimpse of your foyer in the last tablescape blog tour and it was so pretty as it always is! Happy Spring to you!
CONGRATS Denise! Your post is FEATURED at the #UnlimitedLinkParty 106!
