It’s that time again! Time to revisit your favorite posts of 2022. I hope you’ll join me on this little trip down memory lane. There may be a project or idea that you’ve missed or forgotten. Here we go…
As a blogger, I learn so much by taking a look back every year around this time. Looking at the statistics and the views of a specific post is invaluable going forward for another year. In addition, it is a great way for me, personally, to reflect on the past year.
What I learned on this trip is that My Home of All Seasons subscribers are very creative people. Your favorites this year tell me that you love a good DIY project. That is reflected on my Pinterest page as well. So often you take the time to message me there and share pictures of your take on a project seen on the blog. I love that and so often I find myself wondering why I didn’t think of the additions you made myself!
I also learned that I avoided some of the heavy posts that were your favorites in 2021. I think I just felt like we needed a lighter tone last year. I internalized a little more than I did in the past. It was more subconsciously than intentional but it felt right. I have yet to meet the person that tells me 2022 was the greatest year of their lives. I know you’re out there but in my circle the year was tolerable at best. I think so many natural disasters and world events took a toll on everyone.
So… one more look back than it’s on to a beautiful new year! Welcome 2023! Bring it on!
January 2022
Your favorite for January was also mine. How to Create a Warm, Welcoming, Winter Front Porch made for an exciting moment in my year. That post was featured in Country Sampler Magazine that month. Such an honor!
February 2022
February’s post, Love the Second Time Around, topped your list. This post was part of the Valentine’s Day on a Tray Tour hosted by Katherine’s Corner Blog. This was a fun one for me since I was able to include one of the best moments of my life in that post!
March 2022
I do love a lantern and the spring designs are always the prettiest. Apparently you agree since the post, 5 Spring Lantern Designs, was your pick for the month of March.
April 2022
In April, you chose the post, 5 Easy Springtime Tray Ideas. Anything that involves putting together a tiered tray is okay with me! I love that you included this one in your favorite posts of 2022!
May 2022
Your choice for May was the post, 8 Simple Steps for a Fabulous Grad Party. This one was meant for the “last minute” planners out there. I’m usually much more organized when it comes to entertaining but I tripped over the emotions that graduation inevitably brings. Apparently, given the popularity of this one, a lot of you did the same thing and needed a quick fix.
June 2022
I was thrilled with your pick for the month of June, How to Create a Patriotic Summer Home. This post included my 2022 Summer Home Tour and I was so happy that you enjoyed it. (Your host for the tour was our little Cooper!).
July 2022
Your choice in July was also mine, Perfect Summer Evening on the Patio. Getting together with my Besties on a warm summer night really is perfect. I think you remembered some of those wonderful nights of your own which is why this post resonated with you. Or… maybe it was the crab stuffed mushroom recipe???
August 2022
August was to have been a vacation month for us. Due to work, illness, and so many other unforeseen events, that never materialized. However, I took a much needed break from blogging that month. Well… sort of. While I stayed away from posting, I did complete the printables and shared them in the post, New Fall Printables to Welcome in the Season.
September 2022
September’s pick was the post, 3 Easy Fall Lantern Designs to Cozy up the Season. Those seasonal lanterns made quite the impression this past year!
October 2022
October had us anticipating Halloween. With the cold setting in, I guess we were all looking for a fun crafty DIY to take us into the holiday. How to Make a Witchy Centerpiece in Just 10 minutes was your favorite post in October.
November 2022
How to Create a Rich, Fall, Feel with Wood was your choice for the month of November. Who doesn’t love the warmth that the richness of wood can bring to any room? However, you also loved another post nearly as much, A Full Year of Tiered Tray Design Ideas. With less than a 1% difference, I included them both!
December 2022
We end the year with your December pick, 3 Beautiful Ways to Style Your Holiday Entry Table. In this post, I asked for your help in choosing the decorations that would welcome my holiday guests. Your emails were greatly appreciated since I loved them all and simply could not make a decision! Toyland won by a few votes with the Tree Farm a close second.
There you have it… Your favorite posts of 2022!
Welcome 2023!
Before we move into what I pray will be a wonderful new year, I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU! I am so grateful that you are all a part of my life and I’m excited to see where 2023 will take us!
Because you loved the full year of tiered tray designs, we will start the year off with the “Through the Seasons” series. Each month we will take one decor piece and see how we can take it from January through December. January’s post, How to Decorate a Balance Scale, kicks it off for us. So many easy ways to take that piece through the seasons!
