Here we are midway through summer and I have finally completed my outdoor spaces! Since being outdoors is our favorite thing, I needed to do some updates to make them livable through the summer months and into the fall. Having all the time in the world in 2020, we made a lot of the major changes last year. Still, there were a few things left before I felt we could really call it finished. How to Find the Beauty That Surrounds Us All

Do you remember the old hit song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want?” That song has been on repeat in my mind for days. I’ve been lamenting the fact that we are halfway through the summer and I haven’t seen the ocean since last August. To me, nothing is as beautiful as the sun glistening on the water. Work and other obligations have kept us here so far this year and it has been a bit depressing. But today, I finally pushed the pause button and instead, I decided to look for the beauty that surrounds us all in our own back yards.

Decorating for the summer months is such fun. Giving the house a complete makeover each season is something I really look forward to. However, a friend pointed out that while she would love adding a seasonal look to her home, she doesn’t have the time or space to do it. I beg to differ!
